The Gibson Center for Community, Arts & Culture
The
Gibson Centre for Community, Arts & Culture is a three-storey, 1889 heritage building located in Alliston, Ontario that began
as a factory manufacturing agricultural implements. Today, it has been transformed into a centre for community, arts and culture,
and offers a performance hall, gallery, café studios, senior's centre and more.
Honda
of Canada Mfg. was pleased to support this project in the local community. In recognition of this support, the performance hall,
which houses concerts, theatre, and musical offerings, is named the Honda Performance Hall.
The mission of the centre is to preserve and enhance a historically significant landmark for the hosting of cultural
activities, the showing of the arts, and the cultivation of an environment which promotes and encourages the celebration of
community and creativity.
