Update #3: Thailand Parts Supply

Honda’s North American Plants to Resume Normal Production

November 28, 2011 – Due to improvement in the overall parts supply situation, all of Honda’s North American plants, including Honda of Canada Mfg. in Alliston, Ontario, will resume normal production by December 1, 2011.

While the severe flooding in Thailand continues to have some impact to our parts supply, Honda has been working closely with its suppliers to fully re-establish the flow of parts for the products made in North America. Honda will update this information in the event changes are required.

In 2010, 92 per cent of the Honda and Acura automobiles sold in Canada were produced in North America. While most of parts and materials used to produce these products are purchased from North American suppliers, a few critical electronic parts are sourced from Thailand and other regions of the world.
