Honda Canada Inc. Social Media Community Posting Policy

Welcome to Honda Canada Inc.’s (“Honda”) Social Media Community Posting Policy (“Policy”) governing your posts and online behavior on our various social media pages and divisions, including Acura. We designed this Policy so that you and others in our community can engage in conversations about Honda, Acura, and their products and services.

We want users to feel included and safe when using this social media platform and Honda’s social media page. While we welcome you to speak freely, we also reserve the right to remove posts, photos, comments, and any materials that:

  • Are abusive, defamatory, or obscene toward Honda and its affiliates, our community members, and users.
  • Are fraudulent, deceptive, misleading, impersonating or pretending to be an employee or representative of Honda or its affiliates.
  • Contain false comments or claims about Honda or its affiliates.
  • Violate the intellectual property right of another.
  • Are spam, repetitive, or off topic.
  • Include sales pitches, soliciting donations or fundraising.
  • Include private or personal information about either yourself or others.
  • Are otherwise offensive, inappropriate, or unsuitable.
  • Violate any law or regulation.
  • Contain personal information.

Additionally, we have a zero-tolerance policy for any posts, photos, comments, and other material that contain profanity and offensive language, constitute hate speech, racist or discriminatory remarks, harassment, depict violent or graphic material, and are threats of violence or similar inappropriate behaviour.

Follow the Law and our Social Community Policies

Understand that you are ultimately responsible for the materials that you post online. We reserve the right to remove posts, report or ban users for breach of the above items, and take legal or any other action against individuals who fail to abide by our Policy.

By engaging and interacting with our page and the community by posting comments, photos, videos, and other materials, you agree to be bound by the terms, conditions, and standards of our Policy. Furthermore, you agree that Honda, its affiliates, directors, employees, and successors are not liable for any claims based on things you posted or submitted to the social media platform. This includes but is not limited to defamation, copyright or trademark infringement, other intellectual property claims, and any other cause of action.

By submitting content to us or posting on our social pages, you: (i) are granting to Honda and its affiliates a perpetual, world-wide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to reproduce, distribute, reformat, edit, modify, display, and prepare derivative works of, such content, (ii) waive all moral rights in your submitted or posted content in favour of Honda and its affiliates, and (iii) allow Honda and its affiliates the right to use or reproduce any ideas that you submit for purposes including but not limited to, marketing and advertising campaigns.

This page is moderated daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (EST), Monday to Friday, and we will always do our best to answer promptly. Since we can't monitor every posting or conversation, we realize that objectionable posts may arise. Honda and its affiliates are not responsible for, nor do we endorse, any third-party opinions expressed on this page, and we disclaim all liability in relation to the comments, photos and other materials contributed to this page by third-party posters. Please do not share personal information on this public page. To keep your information safe, we reserve the right to remove personal information from posts.
